Website completely rebuilt
As most of you are aware, I have retired from the playing ranks and transitioned into team management. This means that I am still part of the team, but I do the majority of my work before the tournament and don't have to sweat my ding off on the field. A good arrangement I feel!
To compliment this transition, I thought I'd change the focus of this website to reflect the change in my involvement in the sport. As a result, this website now focuses on the teams that I manage. I still intend to blog about hockey and what I believe to be the good and bad aspects of the sport, but the other areas of the website will be dedicated to the teams I manage.
To this end, there are two main areas with the following key features: -
Teams
- National and State sections
- Names, photos (if provided), positions and nicknames
- Ability to filter by position/rotation
Photos
- National and State sections
- Gallery navigation
- Downloadable images
- Lightbox gallery viewing
The intention is to post each team I am selected to manage, providing a tool for players to learn the names, faces and positions of the other players in their team prior to a championship. These teams will be retained for posterity. Any team photos that I create after the championships will be uploaded to the photo galleries for players to download.
If anyone would like to contribute to a photo gallery, drop me a note using the contact form on the Contact Me page. I'll be happy to upload additional images from past championships, acknowledging the photographer and copyright holder.
I hope everyone enjoys the new focus of the website. Feel free to comment below and let me know your thoughts.
